Genoa Italy City Facts
The name Genoa always provoked a response from my Italian grandfather of
"Geona, you!" Me, I like the city quite a bit. There are aspects which
will be found in no other European City. Start with the fact that my Grandmother
and tens of thousands of other grandmothers started for America from the port of
Genoa. Many Italians trace their relatives back to Italy. And a goodly number of
them left from this port city to come to the new world.
