Transportation in Germany

Unquestionably the German Railroad Network is excellent. Trains leave from everywhere going to everywhere at all hours of the day and night. Further, when a train pulls into a station which serves a small town, then there is a bus waiting at the train station to take you to that small town. I have always been amazed at this level of coordination. They really have it organized beyond belief.

The Tourism Department of Germany has a great web site for transportation in Germany. Click HERE to go to it.

Rail Travel Information

"This page contains links to some useful sources of information for travellers by rail. Some provide timetables and even maps while others are useful for general information and route finding. These sources are generally in English and some are maintained by enthusiasts rather than the Railway Companies themselves. Details should always be checked with the relevant Company."

Public Transportation in Germany is fantastic.  Bus transportation goes into even the smallest places. Trains go everywhere as well. Me, I prefer the trains and busses. More
